Celebrate with
cultural villages

From honeymoons to family celebrations, ‘once in a lifetime’ events deserve fabulous locations. So what could be better than the privacy and wonder of the African Bush, when matched by the comfort and sophistication of a Bushtops safari setting?

Here you can connect or reconnect with loved ones and your true self, letting wild luxury adventures blend with time spent reflecting. As you gaze into the flickering light of the camp fire, your life-changing big occasion is added to a wider narrative – your personal story of great times: past, present and future.

Family Safari with Five miles

It’s a wild thrill watching wildlife when travelling solo. It’s even better as a couple, but the ultimate experience unites the entire family. So ask yours whether they’d like to trade urgent tasks, juggling jobs, running households and the stresses of everyday life for a gathering of loved ones on safari. No distractions, just eye-opening experiences and time spent sharing stories, as family groups have done for over a hundred thousand years. It’s a fantastic way to show each other how much we care, whilst getting closer to nature and reconnecting with what matters most in life.

The Bushcraft Challenge

The Bushcraft Challenge introduces guests to basic survival skills, local culture, the importance of conservation and (of course) local flora and fauna. Completing the challenge leads to a Five miles certificate, authenticating unique newfound skills and a sense of real achievement. Activities include learning to make fire without matches or a lighter; completing animal spotting checklists (helped by our rangers); identifying animal tracks and making a memento plaster cast of their favourites; learning about animal bones; practicing archery; trying out bead-making skills; and baking Nambya treats. Although we designed the Challenge for younger members of the family, we’ve found it appeals equally to curious minds of all ages! It really is great fun and we have had fantastic feedback from children and parents alike.

PRIVATE BUSH BREAKFAST

The first meal of the day is not usually the most memorable, but then it doesn’t usually take place surrounded by African grasslands.

KLIPSPRINGER DINNER

It’s hard to imagine a more magical place than Klipspringer, named after the antelope which gather among its rocky outcrops.
